I offer co-active coaching in the practice of poetry. These classes are hosted on an online platform for writers. I respond to all work and if you choose a group, group members will respond to your work as well.
There are two paths you can follow in these courses. The Transformational Poetics series is designed around personal growth practices as well as poetic practice. If this is your focus and intention, poetry can bring the resource of creativity into that process. The Experiments in Body Poetic series, run through Corporealwriting.com, is designed around writing practices. If you would like to focus on writing and building your writing resources, you can choose this path. These are really just two starting points and you are free to step into both paths. Each class includes writing prompts that help you learn about poetic form as you learn about yourself and follow where your writing takes you.
The Transformational Poetics series is currently an individual class. You will also see the options of a one-on-one class that we design together, and various upcoming face to face workshops in Portland. The Experiments in Body Poetics series is run as group classes. If you would like to take the classes one-on-one with me, we can discuss this and make arrangements. Join the email list to receive announcements about new and upcoming classes.
She had horses who danced in their mothers’ arms.
She had horses who thought they were the sun and their
bodies shown and burned like stars.
She had horses who waltzed nightly on the moon.
She had horses who were much too shy, and kept quiet
in stalls of their own making.
She had some horses.
